Construction of new road in Ilidža to begin soon

(Patria) - Minister of Transport of Canton Sarajevo Adnan Šteta, together with the director of the Roads Directorate of Canton Sarajevo Selmir Kovač and the mayor Nermin Muzur, visited today a new construction site in the municipality of Ilidža, where work on the construction of the Osik road, from the underpass in the settlement of Osjek to the bridge on the Zujevina river, will soon begin.

The contractor has been introduced to the project, and preparatory work on the construction of this road, which will be of great importance to the residents of Ilidža, begins today.

- I am pleased to be opening another construction site in Ilidža and that the residents of this municipality will get a new road. This part of Ilidža will also take on a new look in the coming period, and we will improve the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.

We continue to invest further in Ilidža, as well as in all municipalities of our canton, because our goal is the additional development of every part of the Sarajevo Canton - said Šteta.



The value of the project is 1.4 million KM, and it envisages the construction of a new road 570 meters in length, including drainage solutions, marking of complete traffic signage, and installation of lighting.

- This is an extremely important project for our local community. It has been waiting for its realization for many years due to unresolved property-legal relations and incomplete documentation.

I am glad that everything is now ready, first for preparatory work, then for the construction of the road, and that we will further improve the traffic infrastructure of our municipality - emphasized Mayor Muzur, who once again expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and the Roads Directorate of Canton Sarajevo.

The contractor is MGBH d.o.o Sarajevo, and the supervision is carried out by the Institute for Construction of Canton Sarajevo.
