Ilidža continues to repair flood damage

The eighth emergency session of the Ilidža Municipal Civil Protection Headquarters was held, analyzing the current situation on the ground as well as a review of activities carried out during the day.

Drone footage of the terrain was taken, and it was determined that the current situation in the riverbeds is stable, with no recorded rises in water levels. Over the past day, teams have been carrying out activities to repair observed damage to the riverbeds, as well as cleaning individual residential buildings.

The municipal mayor, along with associates, also visited the dam in Bogatići, and it was concluded that the water level situation is satisfactory.

Information on how to submit claims for damage from natural disasters, as well as contact phone numbers for all additional information, has been published on the official website of the Municipality.

A warning was also issued to citizens that after the water recedes from flooded areas, there is an increased risk of finding unexploded ordnance in the Ilidža municipality area, and citizens are asked to contact the Civil Protection Service if they notice suspicious objects or explosive devices.

One of the conclusions of the Headquarters is that all previously established activities will continue, both for repairing damage and for preventing potential damage due to new rainfall.
