86 COVID-19 patients hospitalized at the General Hospital

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The General Hospital „Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš“ in Sarajevo is simultaneously providing healthcare services to both COVID and non-COVID patients. In the COVID ward of this healthcare institution, 86 moderately severe and severe patients are hospitalized, 11 of whom are in intensive care. In the past 24 hours, 11 patients were admitted to the ward, and 7 were discharged home.

During yesterday, 110 patients were examined at the Emergency Center of the General Hospital, and the same number at the Orthopedics Office. There was also plenty of work in other departments. In total, there were over a thousand examinations and about five thousand services provided, which is the average daily output of this institution.

In the last three days alone, 300 people sought emergency medical assistance, 140 were admitted for hospital treatment, and 64 surgical procedures were performed.
