Wait times at border crossings up to 30 minutes

(Patria) - Roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina are passable this morning without significant obstacles or difficult traffic. Increased vehicle frequency is expected in urban zones and at border crossings in the afternoon hours. Given the weather conditions, drivers are advised to take more frequent breaks during their journey and to consume sufficient amounts of water. We ask drivers and other traffic participants to respect all traffic regulations.

Due to the installation of the final asphalt layer, traffic will be suspended today from 07:00 to 18:00 on the section of the regional road Gračanica-Srnice (in Donje Srnice). During the suspension, the alternative route is Gračanica-Srebrenik-Ormanica-Srnice.

Rehabilitation works are also ongoing on the main roads: Vitez-Travnik, Kladanj-Vlasenica, Dobro Polje-Miljevina, Bijeljina-Rača, Čevljanovići-Nišići and Semizovac-Srednje. At other locations where works are being carried out, traffic moves slowly.

At border crossings, wait times are up to 30 minutes.

Until the end of August, the Krstac border crossing (on the Gacko-Nikšić road) is open for passenger traffic.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons maximum permissible mass at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses may use the GP Šepak crossing.
