Multi-hour waits at border crossings for exit from BiH

(Patria) - Due to the rain that fell yesterday and last night, or is still falling this morning, traffic on most roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina is on wet or damp roads.

Increased traffic is expected today, and at many border crossings, there have been multi-hour waits to exit our country since the early morning hours. We highlight the following border crossings: Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Kostajnica, Kozarska Dubica, Novi Grad, Gradina, Gradiška, Brod, Orašje, Zupci, and Osoje. Significant increases in traffic are expected at other border crossings during the day.

Please note that waiting times at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Drivers can access video surveillance cameras on our website www.bihamk.ba.

We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution and avoid risky overtaking. We also ask other road users (pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, electric scooter users) to be cautious and respect all regulations.

Due to road repairs caused by a vehicle fire, traffic in the Ivan tunnel (A-1 Bradina-Tarčin) is using the passing lane. Drivers are asked to reduce speed and obey the posted signage. Traffic is unimpeded from Tarčin towards Bradina.

Repair works are underway on the main roads: Semizovac-Olovo, Jablanica-Prozor (Mirci), Ustikolina-Goražde (Mravinjac), Sarajevo-Pale, Vrhpolje-Ključ, and Bijeljina-Šepak (in Janja).

Due to an auto race, traffic will be suspended today from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM on the regional road from the Grkarica roundabout to the entrance of Babin Do (Bjelašnica).

We remind you that traffic is permitted for all vehicles up to 3.5 tons of total weight on the Jablanica-Blidinje route.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 9 AM to 1 PM and from 10 PM to 6 AM (on weekends, they can cross between 10 PM and 6 AM).
