(Patria) - In most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, traffic is on wet or damp roads. In some sections in valleys, as well as over mountain passes, fog and low clouds reduce visibility in places.
We also draw attention to frequent landslides of earth and stones on sections passing through cuttings. We remind you that winter equipment is legally mandatory for all vehicles in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution on all routes and to adjust their driving to the current road conditions.
The construction of a noise barrier on the A-1 highway section Podlugovi-Sarajevo sjever is underway, due to which traffic is diverted to the overtaking lane.
On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.
Works are underway on the Kladanj-Stupari main road, due to which traffic is carried out in one lane every day (except Sunday) from 7 AM to 5 PM, with alternating traffic.
Passenger vehicle traffic is occasionally increasing at border crossings, but for now, it is proceeding with delays of up to 30 minutes.
Due to the registration of passengers under the new system of entering and exiting European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays at border crossings are possible.
Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. From December 2, 2025, Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
