Short delays at border crossings

(Patria) - According to data collected by the BIHAMK Information Center, traffic on the roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina this morning is proceeding without major difficulties and long delays. Driving is on dry or wet pavement and with good visibility.

It is the beginning of a new working week, so increased vehicle traffic is expected during the day, especially in narrower urban areas.

Drivers, be maximally careful, especially near schools. Maintain distance between vehicles and avoid risky overtaking. We also appeal to other traffic participants (especially pedestrians and electric scooter users) to respect all traffic regulations.

Movement of all vehicles across the bridge on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road is prohibited. Vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons can use the road via Grebak or Kalinovik (there is 19 km of macadam road), while trucks must travel via Rogatica and Ustiprača.

The construction of a noise barrier is underway on the A-1 Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi highway section, due to which traffic is diverted to the overtaking lane.

Due to ongoing soil monitoring work on the A-1 Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica highway section, in the area of the Lepenica interchange and the Igman tunnel, traffic is two-way, in the right lane.

On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.

There are short delays for passenger vehicles at border crossings.

Due to passenger registration under the new European Union Entry/Exit System (EES), longer delays at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
