Unexploded tank shell found at construction site in Tuzla

(Patria) - During excavation works today at the construction site of the Residential and Commercial Building "Pecara 2 - Block B", in the Brčanska Malta settlement in Tuzla, an unexploded tank shell was dug up.

After being notified by employees, members of the Tuzla Civil Protection Service forwarded the information to the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of TK, and a timely reaction followed.

Upon the arrival of Civil Protection officers, representatives of KUCZ TK, and Team A for the collection and destruction of explosive ordnance of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, workers were evacuated from a part of the construction site for the safety of all present.

After the type of fuse and the degree of danger were determined, the unexploded tank shell was carefully moved by Team A for the collection and destruction of explosive ordnance to the warehouse for the destruction of unexploded explosive ordnance, where it will be safely deactivated.
