Remains of a victim from the past war found at an exhumation in Bratunac

(Patria) - An investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes is at the Golo Brdo-Vrela site, in the municipality of Bratunac, where, by order of the prosecutor, they are coordinating the work of authorized officials who are carrying out the process of exhumation and searching for the remains of missing persons.

Skeletal remains of human origin, belonging to an elderly male, were found at the site. They will be sent for further forensic processing and identification through DNA analysis. Representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons, a forensic pathologist, and police officers from the Bratunac Police Station, who are securing the site, are also present at the exhumation site.

The exhumation process will continue at the Voljevica site, municipality of Bratunac, later today.
