Three-hour wait at Doljani: Croats continue to mock Bosnian citizens

It is the holiday season, and after Ramadan, most Bosnian citizens have planned their seaside vacation this month, writes the Patria news agency.

However, although tourists are eagerly awaited on the Adriatic coast, a photo is circulating on social media showing a woman and a child sitting on a blanket on the beach, so-called ambassadors. Although it has not been confirmed that they are Bosnian citizens, many have concluded this, and the photo was taken somewhere in Dalmatia.

Given the controversy it sparked on social media, Bosnian citizens still hold a grudge against certain hosts in Croatia who refer to our citizens as „pate tourists“. As can be seen in the comments below the photo, some of our citizens, disappointed by the frequent spiteful comments from hosts in Croatia, are deciding to spend their summer vacation in Montenegro, Albania, or Turkey.

That Bosnian citizens are heading to the Adriatic in increased numbers is evidenced by a report from BIHAMK, which states that there is increased vehicle traffic at the Doljani border crossing.

- At the exit from our country, waiting times are up to 3 hours. Drivers heading towards the Makarska Riviera or further north are advised to use the border crossings: Zvirići, Bijača, Crveni Grm, Gorica, or Orahovlje, while those traveling to the Dubrovnik region are recommended to use the border crossings Čepikuće or Ivanica - BIHAMK states.
