On this day in 2002, Ismir Pintol passed away, writes the Patria News Agency. Ismir Pintol was just one of the boys who loved games, socializing, and football. Everything that distinguished him from his peers was his great love for FK Sarajevo, which he loved immensely, and which will always love him, says FK Sarajevo.
After a serious illness took him and tore him from the embrace of youth, the Horde zla decided that one way to remember Ismir would be a trophy bearing his name, symbolizing everything Ismir felt for Football Club Sarajevo. The trophy is awarded to the most combative player of Sarajevo, chosen by the fans, because Ismir was like that too, fighting to his last breath with a Sarajevo scarf around his neck.
