On this day in 2003, another hero of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sabahudin Dino Bilalović, passed away

On this day in 2003, Sabahudin Dino Bilalović suddenly passed away in Makarska at the age of 43. This exceptional athlete, from Trebinje, was a member of the KK Bosna team, the European club champion.

At the European Championship in Germany, during the war year of 1993, he was the top scorer. BiH was led by Mirza Delibašić, and Dino played brilliantly. His average per game was 24.6 points.

Bosnia and Herzegovina eventually finished in eighth place. After the news of horror, Dino was most responsible for Europe seeing a better face of BiH.

His sports colleagues say today that he played for BiH with a big heart. Even then, it was said that he had heart problems. But he played powerfully and decisively. Perhaps those who do not want to play for BiH today should remember him.
