Gas leak on Bjelašnica, repairs completed late last night, Sarajevogas remains a pawn in Government reconstruction!

(Patria) - Late last night, repair works were carried out on Bjelašnica to eliminate the danger after a gas leak was detected on the Sarajevogas network.

Citizens reported the gas leak because it was smelled. Teams on site fixed the deformation on the pipe. All this happened on the main road.

Otherwise, Sarajevogas as a company currently serves as a pawn in the reconstruction of the KS Government!

Minister in the KS Government Almir Bečarević (SBiH) has problematized the issue of the director of the Sarajevogas company and the way of employment in this company. His claims support the allegations that the position of director of this company is a subject of political bargaining.

According to the published documentation, the current director of Sarajevogas (Edis Baković) resigned from the position of director on July 25, 2023, and the company's Supervisory Board accepted the resignation at a session held on the same day, appointing an acting director whose mandate should begin on September 1. This should be Hase Tirić.

"Since this is the most significant energy company in the Sarajevo Canton and given that the Statute of Sarajevogas stipulates that the director must have eight years of experience in the profession, I ask the Supervisory Board to inform me where this expertise in the field of energy or gas industry is in the specific appointment," Bečarević previously requested.
