(Patria) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of BiH issued a statement regarding the situation in Venezuela, expressing support for the Venezuelan people and stability in that country and the wider region.
The BiH MFA called on all actors to "act rationally, responsibly, and with restraint, in order to prevent further escalation and suffering".
"Nicolas Maduro is a dictator who has ruled through fear, the use of force, the military and police, full control of the media, and other repressive instruments.
His retention of power is not based on free and fair elections, but on electoral fraud and manipulation, as well as on the systematic repression of political opponents and student activism through arrests, intimidation, and threats," the BiH MFA stated.
We express our support for the people of Venezuela and for stability in the country and the wider region. We call on all actors to act rationally, responsibly, and with restraint, in order to prevent further escalation and suffering.

They emphasize that the world would be a better place without rulers like Maduro.
"During his rule, more than eight million people were forced to leave the country. Today, more than 90 percent of the population lives in poverty, while 70 percent lives in extreme poverty. This data represents a profound political, social, and humanitarian failure," the MFA stated.
They also stated that all political dictators behave similarly and use the same repressive methods, including those from our own political reality in this part of the world.
"The United States of America is the most important strategic partner and friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the BiH MFA statement concluded.
