Muzur signs contract with Strabag: Construction of elementary school in Stup begins

(Patria) - After a decade of waiting, the construction of a school in Stup is beginning, and today this was confirmed by the signing of a contract with the company STRABAG, the contractor for the construction of the future modern school, one of the largest capital investments in Ilidža, thus officially launching the realization of this long-awaited project.

When the Municipality of Ilidža embarked on the realization of this extremely important and significant capital project three years ago, the location for the construction of the future school had not been determined, nor was there any project for it.

Through the efforts and work of the Ilidža Municipality administration and its services, with adequate support from the Government of Sarajevo Canton and the Ministry of Education and Upbringing, all necessary conditions have been created for the construction work on this project to begin in the coming days.

- We are starting the realization of one of the largest capital investments in Ilidža. Generations were born and left Stup, and the story was always the same, a school will be built - said Mayor Muzur.

This is certainly the most modern school in Sarajevo Canton, with an conceptual design done by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Sarajevo, according to all the most modern and latest standards for education, not only in Sarajevo, but in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Ilidža is a local community that has excellent cooperation with the Government of Sarajevo Canton on numerous projects, and for the realization of one of the largest capital investments in Ilidža, Minister Naida Hota Muminović made an immeasurable contribution - added Mayor Muzur.

The school is planned to have 8,225 square meters. According to the design solution, the school complex will include a branch clinic, a local community center, a library, a gymnasium for the needs of the school and external users, an underground garage, and a fitness area.

In addition to all of the above, both vehicular and pedestrian access are planned, from the road to the northern side of the plot where the school will be located.
