Muzur, Avdić and Barlov signed the Agreement, a modern hall to be built in Hrasnica

The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality Nermin Muzur, the Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton Samir Avdić, and the Director of the Sarajevo Canton Construction Institute Belma Barlov today signed the Agreement on co-financing the Ilidža Municipality project "Construction of a sports hall in Hrasnica".

Through this Agreement, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton will financially support the construction of a new sports hall in Hrasnica, which is one of the capital projects of Ilidža Municipality for the next period.

"By building a completely new hall, we will get another important sports facility in our municipality and thus relieve the Cultural and Sports Center 'Sabit Hadžić' in Ilidža. The works should start in 2022, and I hope that the tender for this future multifunctional hall could be announced at the beginning of the year," said the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality Nermin Muzur.

Mayor Muzur emphasized that the funds from the Agreement signed today are intended for 2021, and he especially thanked the Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton Samir Avdić, who has shown great interest in cooperation with Ilidža Municipality in the past period regarding projects within the competence of the ministry he leads.

"I am extremely pleased that Hrasnica will get a new and modern sports hall through this project. I must be honest and say that I am particularly attached to Hrasnica because of the late Sabit Hadžić, an prominent BiH Olympian and legendary basketball player. I hope that some new basketball stars and sports figures like our Sabit will emerge in the new hall, for which we have allocated 1.75 million KM this year," said Samir Avdić, Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton.

With its modern appearance, the sports hall in Hrasnica will definitely improve the complex around the Famos stadium, which has been quite neglected and in poor condition in recent years, and the first step towards improving its appearance was made by building a field with artificial turf.
