Mustabašić: Landslides are still active, we don't have a clear plan for what's next

We still have problems with active landslides, and citizens are dissatisfied with the development of the situation, said the Mayor of Maglaj Municipality, Mehmed Mustabašić, for the BH news agency Patria.

More than two months have passed since the devastating floods that submerged Maglaj in just a few hours. One of the latest donations of 250,000 KM from Malaysian billionaire Tan Sri Vincent Tan was sent to the Health Center.

- The donations are getting smaller. We have a lot of work, damage assessments are being done, but we don't have enough people. We have done a lot, but we don't have a clear plan for what to do next and how to proceed – said Mustabašić.

Although the people of Maglaj organized themselves, as was the case with the Public Library, there are many other institutions that still need help.

- We haven't found funds for the Cultural Center, the cinema hall. As for the sports hall "Pobjeda", we are trying with the Government of Slovenia, and we have prepared project documentation and sent it to several addresses – says Mustabašić for NAP.

Regarding contacts with the Federal Government, Mustabašić states that, as far as he knows, the criteria for allocating the collected funds have not yet been established.

- We have visits from various levels of government. But we don't have concrete instructions – states Mustabašić.
