Muslimović wrote to Konaković: I will not stoop to your very low level that paralyses the reputation of state institutions!

(Patria) - General Fikret Muslimović sent an open letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, who fiercely accused him of being a KOS agent and working to undermine BiH institutions, and that he is in the service of Serbia.

Elmedin Konaković,

I am of the opinion that you neither know nor respect the basic historical facts about the defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina. You brutally fabricate and spread untruths to the detriment of the just struggle for the defence, survival and affirmation of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. You distort, from base motives, the events and personalities from the period of the defence of our Homeland against aggression. Also, I am of the opinion that you have joined the ranks of a powerful enemy propaganda apparatus with which we gained respectable defensive experience. Hypocritically, you describe and acknowledge the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an abstraction and a general concept, but you do not respect its internal contents and values.

Because you are an ignoramus in this regard, here, I will point out to you the facts from which you should learn whom you are attacking and slandering, although I doubt there is a cure for you that can pull you out of the mud into which you have deeply sunk. You are slandering a person who, from the beginning of April 1992 until the end of the war, and later until his retirement in April 2000, performed the most prominent functions in the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Defence, and also served as an advisor to the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the successful performance of these functions, this victim of your slander received important recognitions. In the middle of the war, the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina awarded me the rank of Brigadier General, and after the war, before retirement, I was promoted to a higher general rank, as they say - with two stars.

Also, as a contribution to the need for you to know whom you are slandering, I tell you that my wartime contribution is the fact that, in the role of Chief of the Administration of the General Staff, I laid the foundations of the security system of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire defence system. In the second half of the war, I performed the function of Chief of the Administration for Morale. Organisationally and functionally, I built the combat morale of our Army and the entire environment in which defensive operations were conducted in military, diplomatic, informational and other aspects of the war, that is, aspects of the defence of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina against armed and other aspects of aggression.

It is sad that you are a dangerous ignoramus because, as a political leader, you have reached the position of minister, and you do not know that combat morale as an internal quality is the most important element of the combat power of our defence system. I am honoured by the responsible function of leading the Joint Staff of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Croatian Defence Council with the task of organising many complex and sensitive tasks of implementing the military aspects of the Washington Agreement.

I performed similar military tasks in the implementation of the Dayton Agreement, and I am a signatory, together with generals of the Serbian and Croatian armies, of an important Agreement on Confidence-Building Military Measures. After the war, I was assigned the most important staff duty of Assistant Minister of Defence for Strategic Assessment, Planning and Implementation of Defence Preparations, when I coordinated the work of numerous entities for the adoption of strategies, doctrines and policies according to the standards of democratically organised defence systems of Western countries. The first post-war state defence and security policy adopted by the Parliament was written by my hand.

The aggressor, enemy side knew that the tasks I performed convincingly and successfully throughout the war and after were of particular importance and that the results of the strong teams I selected and led contributed to achieving the goals of the defence of our Homeland. That is why the enemies put me in their sights as a profitable target for aggressor subversion. They obstructed me and wanted to remove me from the defence system, but they did not succeed.

Even today, on that side where the planners of special operations against our Homeland are, it seems to me that my role in opposing their dark goals is respected. In the past thirty years or so, I have written and published numerous books. I have given thousands of lectures. Some of my texts have entered textbooks on defence and security. Hundreds of my analyses on the causes, courses and consequences of undermining the interests of peace and stability have been published in various journals. The general point of my considerations is the necessity of improving inter-ethnic and inter-state relations in our region. Nowhere, no one can find a single word that is harmful to these values.

Therefore, Elmedin Konaković, listen to what the general of the celebrated Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina tells you. Cast out from your contaminated mind and your even more contaminated soul everything that comes from enemy environments. Decontaminate yourself and be on the side of those who affirm the values and authorities of the defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Stay away from those who do the opposite.

Konaković, I am of the opinion that you are poorly raised. You are morally neglected. You are excessively in love with yourself. You have the ability to fabricate lies and thus deceive people into believing that you are worthy of their attention and respect.

Well-meaning people who have joined the political machine you lead are, in my opinion, deceived. I predict a bad political career for you. I think and predict that your already disfigured leadership position will soon completely melt away in the intensity of your immorality, your ignorance, hypocrisy and narcissism. I will joke a little and tell you that what the general of the honourable Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina predicts is no joke. You will not disappear as a leader because I or anyone else you brutally attack will defeat you in the media war. I will not give you and your authorities the satisfaction of waging a media war with you. You will not realise yourself as a leader because your behaviour towards the people you slander is only a small, but important indicator of much deeper and broader defects in the structure of your personality and your political identity.

So, I will not wage war with you because you will finish yourself off. I care about the historical reputation of the fighters, which includes the general staff of our defence, so in the status of a general of the honourable Army, I will not stoop to your very low level that paralyses the reputation of state institutions. When they listen to all the lies you tell, many wonder how you are the leader of a political party and a minister - and of foreign affairs at that.

I cannot deal with you, among other things, because I am busy with very important and extensive work in defending against accusations that I, along with nine other prominent officials, defenders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, am responsible for alleged war crimes from the first days of the defence of our Homeland against armed aggression. If you were fair, you would take an interest and help ensure that the truth comes to light in that court case, not only in the interest of the ten of us accused of events in the Dobrovoljačka case, but above all in the interest of protecting the moral integrity of our defence system.

I see that you are intelligent, like many of our people - peasants, workers and others in these Balkan areas of ours. But at the same time, I see that your natural intelligence is, unfortunately, clouded and paralysed by sick and very strange ambitions, an extreme love for yourself, extreme hypocrisy and a tendency to lie and meddle, not choosing the means and methods of struggle with the aim of being 'first among Bosniaks'. It is good to be ambitious, but in ways that do not call into question the values of morality and good upbringing. Because of sick ambitions, I am of the opinion that you behave as if your mind is clouded.

I am of the opinion that you humiliate citizens who advocate for the values of defence and affirmation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because you expect to gain their support and further advance towards your sick ambitions. Therefore, I have predicted a dishonourable discharge from politics for you, and those who know me often say that I rarely miss in my assessments."
