Muslims observe Laylat al-Qadr

BiH, (Patria) - Muslims around the world are observing the night of Laylat al-Qadr tonight, which is believed to be the best night of all others in the year, writes the Patria agency.

Islamic theologians actually explain that Laylat al-Qadr is more valuable than a thousand months, which roughly corresponds to 83 years, so believers are advised to spend it in prayer until the early morning hours.

For believers, Laylat al-Qadr is the most significant night of the year because the revelation of the Qur'an began on this night. It is not precisely indicated when it occurs, but based on the Qur'an and Hadith, it is assumed to be the 27th night of the month of Ramadan, or it may be on some other odd nights in the last third of Ramadan.

The central ceremony in the area of the Islamic Community in BiH on the occasion of the observance of this night will be held at the Begova Mosque in Sarajevo.
