Mušić: Genocide was also committed in Prijedor!

Sudbin Mušić, president of the association of camp inmates "Prijedor 92" is very happy and excited that SIPA arrested 12 people on Monday, suspected of murdering 29 people in the village of Zecovi near Prijedor, during the Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992.

In a statement to the BiH news agency Patria, he said that he hopes the indictments are detailed enough and that the accused will not be released, which has often happened in similar indictments in previous years.

SIPA today arrested Dušan Milunić, known as Bizon, Radomir Stojnić, known as Gromo, Radovan Četić, known as Rade, Zoran Stojnić, Željko Grbić, known as Mali Cule, Ilija Zorić, Zoran Milunić. Among the arrested are also Boško Grujičić, Rade Grujčić, Uroš Grujčić, Rajko Grbić, known as Patak, and Rajko Gnjatović, known as Aćim.

They are accused of monstrous crimes committed in July 1992 in the village of Zecovi near Prijedor, after which the bodies of the murdered were removed to a mass grave that is still being searched for.

- The victims have waited too long for this moment - said Mušić.

- But now that we have reached this moment, we hope that the investigations have been conducted properly, and that there will be no acquittals. Because every time that happens, and it does happen, the victims are scared again, they are afraid. The hardest part is for the returnees to Republika Srpska, who, after more than twenty years, have to meet criminals on the streets again.

Mušić reminds that, after the genocide in Srebrenica, Bosniaks from Prijedor experienced the greatest horrors during the Serbian aggression against BiH, in which thousands of innocent people were killed, and tens of thousands went through the most infamous camps in the former Yugoslavia.

- We will not give up until the crimes in Prijedor also receive the status of genocide, just as Srebrenica did - said Mušić. He states that horrific crimes were committed against Bosniaks from this area, as well as against a large number of Croats in Prijedor, which cannot be forgotten, writes NAP.
