Musa: My suitcase is packed for Tuzla, the decision is up to the club

NEW YORK, (Patria) - Bosnian national team player and NBA basketball player Džanan Musa spoke on his official Facebook page to clarify the current situation and his absence from the gathering in Tuzla. Džanan has been in the USA for several days, where he was selected in the NBA draft by the Brooklyn Nets.  

He explained that after being introduced to the team, he was adamant at the meeting that he wanted to join the team in Tuzla, where on June 29 Bosnia and Herzegovina plays against France in the qualifiers for the World Championship. 

- I already have my suitcase packed. I spoke with people in the Association and had two long conversations with Sejo Bukva, and I was in contact with the coach. The response from the team's general manager was that the decision would be made today, and that I played 84 games last season and had 5 workout programs in different time zones. Also, they did not like that for the last four summers, since I was 15, I never worked on my body, and now I will have to catch up here with hard work. During that period, from winning gold with the cadets, I was with the national team every time and suffered 3 serious injuries. Despite all that, I was again adamant that I am going to Bosnia and Herzegovina - stated Musa. 

Musa will sign the contract on July 1 and will undergo medical examinations then.

- The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team is mine because I have proven it countless times through my actions. Regarding the team's words about rest, I strictly wanted to be with the national team. Nothing more is in my hands. I duly informed the Association about this and am counting the hours until the response. No one can put themselves in my shoes and say it is harder or not for them. It is hardest for me right now. Apart from contact with the coach and my call to Sejo Bukva, I have not received any call. Nor do I need one. No one needs to call me to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Whenever the club allows me, I will be there. Only the club can be an obstacle or a health issue - explained Musa. 

He thanked the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their great support and said he is waiting for the club's decision.
