Musa and team winners of the International Tournament in Travnik

The junior basketball U-17 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won first place at the International Tournament “Travnik 2016.”, and in the final they played against the national team of Montenegro, defeating them 102:82, with captain Džanan Musa scoring as many as 40 points, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

In the ranks of the BiH team, the most efficient were Džanan Musa with 40 points, Sani Čampara with 18, and Srđan Kočić with 16 points.

In the group stage, the BiH juniors defeated the national team of Egypt 62:61 and the home team of Travnik 90:54.

The cadets are expected to face Spain on June 11 and 12 in Sarajevo and Vitez before leaving for the World Championship in Spain, which will be held from June 23 to July 3.

The players selected by coach Josip Pandža had good preparations ahead of the upcoming competition, and as they promised, they will give their all to once again delight all fans as they did at the European Championship last year.
