Murphy's Farewell Visit to Nikšić: Continuation of Reform Processes Important for BiH and its Citizens

(Patria) - Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Nermin Nikšić received the US Ambassador to BiH Michael Murphy today at the seat of the Federal Government in Sarajevo, who is soon ending his term in our country.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Nikšić thanked the ambassador for his engagement and contribution to strengthening relations between BiH and the USA, emphasizing the importance of US support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration.

He stressed that during his term, with a significant contribution to the reform path and progress of BiH, Ambassador Murphy was a friend to our country and its citizens.

Murphy expressed his gratitude to Nikšić for the cooperation during his term, emphasizing the importance of continued support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in achieving political and economic goals, as well as contributing to the preservation of peace, stability, and prosperity in the country.

During the meeting, they also discussed the current political situation in the country, as well as the challenges and opportunities for further development and strengthening of democratic institutions.

Nikšić and Murphy jointly assessed the continuation of reform processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina as important for the country and its citizens.

They pointed out the significance of the steps taken in the Federation of BiH, especially the commitment to reforms and support on Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to the European Union.

They highlighted the importance of the established conditions for the commencement of work of special departments of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of BiH, which signifies a genuine fight against corruption.

At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Nikšić wished Ambassador Murphy much success in his future work, emphasizing the importance of partnership relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the USA.
