(Patria) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairperson Borjana Krišto spoke today in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the United States of America (USA) to BiH Michael Murphy about the current political situation in BiH and the activities that state-level authorities are undertaking with the aim of approaching the European Union.
Krišto thanked Murphy for the continuous support that the United States of America provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to integration into the European Union.
The Chairperson emphasized that the recently adopted reform laws show Bosnia and Herzegovina's unquestionable commitment to continuing to fulfill the conditions for its European path. She added that constructive discussions are underway regarding the fulfillment of the remaining conditions for our country's progress in the European integration process and stated that she expects success in that direction, it was announced from the Office of the Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers.
The US Embassy also commented on this meeting, clearly underlining what Murphy asked of Krišto.
"Today we discussed the vital importance of defending BiH and its state institutions from efforts to undermine them, particularly by the ruling coalition in RS.
The best way to protect BiH and build the better future its citizens deserve is for responsible leaders to respect the Dayton Peace Agreement, set aside their narrow political interests, and enact reforms that fully meet European and international standards for democracy, the rule of law, and economic growth," the Embassy announced.
