Murphy meets Čović in Mostar: As always, a constructive conversation...

(Patria) - HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović hosted US Ambassador Michael Murphy in Mostar today. The meeting took place just a few days after Murphy directly accused Čović in a blog of obstructing the Southern Interconnection and reducing dependence on Russian gas. That blog was published just a day after their meeting.

However, today's meeting also proceeded in a relaxed atmosphere.

"As always, a constructive conversation with US Ambassador Murphy in Mostar. We spoke about the current political situation in BiH and the efforts to achieve widespread and sustainable progress. Our closest partnership with the US remains key for our fast path towards the EU and NATO," Čović announced.

The meeting comes just days after the failed meeting in Konjic and ahead of the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, where Čović expects Marin Vukoja to be appointed to the Constitutional Court of BiH. There is no absolute agreement within the 'trojka' on this matter, and today's meeting in Mostar is a message to the 'trojka' parties.
