Murphy: Directorate recognized as a reliable partner

Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, Mirsad Vilić met today with the Security Attaché of the US Embassy in BiH Kevin Murphy and the regional attaché of the US Department of Homeland Security office Patrick McElwain, reports Patria. 

Director Vilić informed the guests about the structure of police forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the responsibilities of the Directorate and its role in law enforcement in BiH. Regional Attaché McElwain explained the functioning and responsibilities of the US Department of Homeland Security office.

Among other things, the mentioned office carries out activities on customs, border security, internal affairs, and immigration issues in thirty countries. During the meeting, modalities for future cooperation within the Directorate's jurisdiction were agreed upon, especially regarding international operational police cooperation and information exchange. Mr. Murphy emphasized that the Directorate has been recognized as a reliable partner in the cooperation so far, and that future activities will be aimed at expanding and improving the aforementioned cooperation.
