Muriz Memić: I have new evidence, nowhere to give it

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Muriz Memić, father of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, said at today's protests in front of hundreds of gathered citizens that he recently dreamed of his son who told him: “Babo, take me somewhere, prove this.”

- For two and a half years, Ifet and I have been proving justice. From now on, I am no longer talking. This 201-page verdict speaks for itself. Everything we said, the court confirmed. Dalida Burzić has been lying from the beginning. You lied to me on March 15th when you said: “He didn't want to kill him.” Yes, he did, and I have the latest evidence – Memić said.

He noted that he has no one to submit it to because no one is solving his son's murder. He said that the State Prosecutor's Office remains silent even after the verdict and witnesses.

- They know everything, they have everything, they just need to start arresting. The HJPC should have prosecuted Dalida long ago. I was there four months ago, they won't do anything. The disciplinary prosecutor cried in front of lawyer Ifet because I called him an idiot when I left the High Representative's office. Let him leave that position, let him say who is preventing him from doing this – Memić said.

He said that it is the state leadership, the ruling structures, and that no one from outside came and did this. Only the ruling structures can do this, no one from the street can do it, Memić said.

Memić also referred to the letter sent to the media and embassies by MUP KS police officers, and said that none of them looked him in the eye when they spoke to him.

- MUP KS has about 1,800 people. No one who was not involved in this case needs to be afraid. But these police officers who hid and fabricated evidence, who hid the real ones, will be held accountable. There are honorable people in MUP who have helped me all along.

He read out the following names of police officers and inspectors, which were met with whistles: Vahid Ćosić, Hasan Dupovac, Mirsad Dželilović, Džafer Hrvat, Sakib Kremo, Nurija Mehić, Emir Mehmedagić, Admir Šalaka, Edin Grabovica, Sanela Hasanbegović, Olga Vukša, Elmedin Konaković, Haris Imamović. 

- Criminal charges will be filed against all of them, and I will organize another press conference. I am not afraid, I signed every document I submitted. The court said that the second reconstruction is illegal, and the first reconstruction from April 4th was hidden by Dalida Burzić – Memić said.

Memić said that he does not want to turn the protests into a political rally, and invited everyone who can to help him. He said he has another question for Bakir Izetbegović, the president of SDA, whom he visited earlier.

- “Bakir, who killed Dženan?” I only cried in front of him because I thought he would do something. I see the kind of people around him. Now I ask him, whose is Ševal Kovačević, whose is Enra Suljić, whose is Vahid Ćosić, whose is Mevludin Halilović, whose is Dragan Lukač, whose is Hasan Dupovac. Let him answer and cleanse himself of them.

He said that the MUP and the judiciary need to be cleaned up. He asked if there is any agency that will do it.

- Only the street and the people are left. You see what is happening in Banja Luka too, it's the same principle. A busload of people needs to be arrested for things to improve, both in Banja Luka and here – Memić said.

He invited all citizens to come in front of the BBI Center at 6 PM on October 5th. These are unscheduled protests.

- There is no justice in the courtroom. There is no justice in the Prosecutor's Office. I promised this a long time ago, but I will be forced to block the streets too. I invite Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić to receive me next week to initiate an investigation, but to change the prosecutor in charge of this case. He cannot handle this case because he is the godson of the federal prosecutor against whom I will file a criminal complaint. I have new evidence, and nowhere to give it - Memić concluded, inviting citizens to join him on October 5th.
