MUP ZDK confirmed: Body found at Ponijeri is missing El-Emin Hadžić

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton (MUP ZDK) confirmed that the lifeless body found today at Ponijeri is indeed the missing El-Emin Hadžić.

"As the public has already been informed, in the previous period an intensive search of the terrain was conducted at the location of Ponijeri, municipality of Kakanj, with the aim of finding the young man Hadžić El-Emin, born in 1996, from Kakanj, whose disappearance was reported by family members on 04.01.2019, at 16:00 hours, to the Kakanj Police Station", the MUP ZDK statement adds.

After receiving the report of the missing person, it is added, an operational search was launched by the Kakanj Police Station, and in addition to the terrain search, other necessary measures and actions within the competence of police officers were undertaken, including conducting interviews with all persons who might have certain information, in order to determine the circumstances of the person's disappearance and to find the missing person. Every piece of information and knowledge obtained by police officers was thoroughly checked.

"Today, 03.03.2019, at 10:55 hours, the duty service of the Kakanj Police Station was informed that a lifeless body was found at the location of Ponijeri. Immediately after receiving the report, police teams were dispatched to the mentioned area to verify the accuracy of the received report and to secure the scene of the body's discovery. An investigation team from the Criminal Police Sector was formed, which proceeded to conduct an investigation. The investigation was led by the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton, upon whose order the body was transported to the Memorial Center in Tuzla, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death of the person, the MUP ZDK statement states.

From MUP ZDK, they say that through the undertaken measures and actions, around 18:00 hours, the identity of the person was determined, and after the identification was carried out, it was confirmed that it is the person Hadžić El-Emin, born in 1996, from Kakanj, whose disappearance was reported on 04.01.2019, to the Kakanj Police Station.
