MUP KS: Three cars confiscated due to sledding on the highway

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Continuing further work on shedding light on the incident that drew public attention, relating to irresponsible and reckless behavior on a section of the highway near the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton submitted a request to the competent Misdemeanor Department of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo for issuing an order for the temporary seizure of vehicles from all participants in the said misdemeanors, as well as other items, with the aim of protecting the interests of general safety and preserving human life and health. 

The court accepted the proposal and issued a written order for the temporary seizure of vehicles, namely: Nissan “Qashqai” license plate T43-A-168, “Mercedes” license plate K30-E-950, and “VW Golf” license plate T84-A-457, as well as other items used during the commission of the misdemeanor, i.e., video recordings as evidence material. The video shows a young man on a sled being pulled by one vehicle while two others follow, recording video and slowing down traffic. 

The order was executed by police officers of the Traffic Unit, and the temporarily seized vehicles and items were deposited until a final decision is reached in the misdemeanor proceedings.

In the coming period, police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton will continue to implement legally prescribed measures and actions within their jurisdiction, and any irresponsible and unlawful behavior by any individual or group will not be tolerated, especially in a manner that jeopardizes the normal flow of traffic on the streets and roads in Sarajevo Canton.
