
(Patria) - Police officers from the Department for Combating Narcotic Drug Abuse, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, have carried out an operation codenamed "Ammo".
During searches of residential buildings in the areas of Novi Grad and Ilidža, several different packages of dry herbaceous matter resembling the narcotic drug marijuana, with a total quantity of approximately 400 grams, an automatic rifle with a folding stock and magazine, a wooden crate with five magazines, a pistol with two magazines, over 800 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, a certain amount of cash, two digital scales, two grinders, a mobile phone, as well as other items of interest to the investigation were found.
Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Illegal Possession of Weapons or Explosive Materials, and a criminal offense from Article 74 of the Law on Unauthorized Possession and Traffic of Weapons and Explosive Materials of Sarajevo Canton, A.S. (1992) from Sarajevo has been deprived of his liberty.
The suspect will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton after criminal processing at the official premises of the Police Administration, along with a report on the committed criminal offenses.
