CS MUP marks Independence Day

(Patria) - On the occasion of marking the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton Admir Katica and Police Commissioner Fatmir Hajdarević laid flowers today and paid tribute in the memorial room of the CS MUP to all police officers, colleagues, who left their mark in their honorable service, and are no longer with us.

After that, Minister Katica and Commissioner Hajdarević paid tribute and laid flowers at the Kovači cemetery and the grave of the first President of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Alija Izetbegović, at the Eternal Flame, at the Memorial to the Murdered Children of Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995, at the Cemetery of Murdered Policemen in Veliki Park, at the Vraca Memorial Park, and at the Novi Grad Memorial.

„On this day, we remember all the brave sons of our country who gave their lives for its freedom and independence. Our colleagues, police officers, have always been the first to defend their country and their fellow citizens, and that is why we remember them today with the greatest respect. I congratulate all citizens on March 1st - Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a message that we must protect our homeland, just as we must preserve the memory of these honorable people,“ said Minister Katica.

Flowers were laid and tribute was paid in all police stations of the CS MUP Police Administration today to all colleagues who died in the line of duty during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
