The Ministry of Interior of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) confirmed in a statement to the BiH news agency Patria that the investigation into the explosive device (pyrotechnic) activated last night in the Salakovac tunnel is ongoing, writes Patria.
We remind you that last night a pyrotechnic device exploded in the Salakovac tunnel, thrown from a car that overtook the car in which General Anto Jeleč, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH, was located.
- Several individuals have been questioned, but no one has been detained. We are verifying all allegations, and the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office has now taken over the case. Only after the investigation is concluded can it be confirmed with certainty what offense it is – say the HNK Ministry of Interior.

- General Jeleč was not injured, nor were other persons in the general's escort. What is evident is that after passing through the smoke screen, a car was noticed driving ahead, whose license plate number was recorded. General Jeleč informed the competent police authorities about the above, who have initiated investigative actions. We cannot disclose more details until the investigative procedure is concluded – say the Ministry.
