Mulabegović: Cerić has the right to run like any other BiH citizen

That procedure is surprising for our conditions and mentality, but it is the right of every citizen to run in elections in accordance with the law, stated Nedžad Mulabegović, president of the Council of Bosniak Intellectuals, for the BiH news agency Patria (NAP), commenting on the announcement of Dr. Mustafa Cerić entering the race for a member of the BiH Presidency.

- I have no special comment on that. It is a civic right and decision, and what the final result will be is questionable. It is his personal decision – says Mulabegović.

However, according to him, the fact that he is the former head of the Islamic Community in BiH should not be any obstacle nor can it have a negative effect on Bosniaks.

- It should not have a negative effect on what is defined as Bosniak policy or the interest of the Bosniak people – Mulabegović emphasized for Patria.
