Mulabdić: Election process proceeding without major disruptions, several incidents recorded

According to information gathered from the field so far, the election process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the day of the General Elections in BiH 2014, is proceeding without major security disruptions, Vedran Mulabdić, coordinator of the General Elections Security Committee, told Patria.

By 5:00 PM, the Action Staff "Elections 2014" of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs – Federal Police Administration received information about incidents of disturbance of public order and peace, specifically:

  - At the polling station OŠ Muhsin Rizvić, Fojnica Municipality, where public order and peace were disturbed by one person, particularly through insolent behavior;
  - In Kijevo, Sanski Most Municipality, public order and peace were disturbed by two individuals, due to which the polling station was closed from 8:10 AM to 8:50 AM.
   - At the polling station Vidovo polje, Stolac Municipality, public order and peace were disturbed by preventing voters from accessing the vote, due to which the polling station was closed from 10:00 AM to 10:20 AM.
    - At the polling station OŠ Drvar, Drvar Municipality, public order and peace were disturbed by a physical assault by individual M. P. on individual P. L. (a punch to the face).
     - Disturbance of public order and peace at the polling station in the premises of the Seismological Institute, Centar Municipality, by individuals A. H. and I. K., through particularly insolent behavior.

- Regarding the mentioned incidents, police officers of the competent law enforcement agencies have taken the legally prescribed measures and actions within their jurisdiction. As for the areas of Republika Srpska and Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the information gathered by the Security Committee, the voting process is proceeding safely and without disruption – Mulabdić added.
