SILENCE REIGNS Dizdarević visits girl who still has no right to treatment

(Patria) - The case of the girl Nadin Smajlović has never ended! The girl's father, Denis Smajlović, in a statement given to the Patria News Agency, says that today he wants to emphasize once again the collective shame of this city that does not allow Nadin to be treated. 

“The shame brought upon this city by the manager of KCUS and the circle of doctors around her, who refused, and confirmed it with their signatures! Thus, with their careers, names, and surnames, they confirmed one of the most immoral acts of healthcare workers in the history of medicine.

The silence that has descended from the leaders of the state, the Federal Government, secular and religious authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is more terrifying than the darkest events we have witnessed since the war.

Using the example of the girl Nadin and the damned silence that has silenced officials out of fear for their positions, the entire society is threatened with being dragged to the bottom of civilization. Therefore, today we demand a public statement from the Federal Ministry of Health, the Canton of Sarajevo, the Prime Minister of the FBiH Government, and Presidents Džaferović and Komšić, as well as the President of SDA Izetbegović, to speak out and say whether Nadin has the right to be treated in the country where she was born!

Solely due to complete obedience to one woman, without a sense of compassion, medical ethics, or elementary humanity, it is a stain on the conscience of all of us. Therefore, today we once again warn the public that an act of denying treatment to a child is being signed in the heart of Europe today.
