Mujanović: Mahmutović asked me for 100,000 KM and now he is suing me for words he himself spoke

General Secretary of the Basketball Federation of BiH Harun Mahmutović has filed a lawsuit against celebrated Bosnian basketball player Razija Mujanović for alleged defamation, reports the Patria news agency.

- It is obvious that Mahmutović needs media attention to make a name for himself and gain fame. I have already earned fame, I have a name, and I really don't need to trade barbs with anyone through the media.

It would be better for him to deal with the numerous problems that exist in the Federation, rather than seeking fame in this way.

He is now suing me over a conversation we had in private, when he told me to bring 100,000 KM and that he would let me lead the national team. Mahmutović is suing me for words he himself spoke. I really don't know why he hates me, but we will see each other in court, says Mujanović for Patria.

The legend of women's basketball in the former Yugoslavia, and the best basketball player Bosnia and Herzegovina has ever had, briefly added that she can only imagine what would happen if she were to work at the Basketball Federation of BiH, and what intrigues would be spun against her then.

Today, Razija Mujanović, who could offer so much to younger generations in sports, is without any engagement. It is obvious that, not only in the Basketball Federation of BiH, but generally in sports in our country, rich experience and talent are not valued; instead, the criteria are everything except those related to sincere intentions to finally put sports on a solid footing.
