Muhasilović: Use the Vlašić momentum for an offensive policy of reclaiming occupied territories

(Patria) - The Vlašić momentum should be used for a political transformation into an offensive policy of reclaiming occupied territories, emphasizes Jahja Muhasilović, professor of international relations and geopolitics.

Muhasilović took to social media regarding the event "Days of Victory, Days of Pride" which was held today on Vlašić in commemoration of one of the most important and magnificent victories of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina units.

A Masterpiece of Military Science

The event was attended by the Rais al-Ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović, the Chairman and member of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović, and numerous other guests from the political, military, religious, and cultural life of our country.

- These monuments testify to the brave and uncompromising fight on Mount Vlašić, as one of the many areas where BiH was defended. It seems that in the process of memorization and memorialization, we do not pay enough attention to our magnificent military victories.

Therefore, it is important to balance the culture of sacrifice with the culture of the victor, because only the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina can be considered the nominal and moral victors of the defensive-liberation war.

The Vlašić operation represents a masterpiece of military science and warfare, and in a symbolic sense, it marked the beginning of the so-called Bosnian Spring - said retired general and mayor of Travnik, Kenan Dautović, in his address to the attendees.

According to him, the dark forces that carried out the aggression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and which have not been completely defeated have strengthened again and are attacking the existence of Bosnia and Herzegovina from all spheres and from all fronts.

- From this place, we are sending a clear message today to all patriots who have Bosnia and Herzegovina in their hearts, that we are united and uncompromising in preserving our homeland and that we are capable of rising above particular interests of any kind and nature in order to preserve and defend it.

We are sending an even clearer message to those who do not love Bosnia and Herzegovina and who would like it to disappear, that we are ready to defend it by all permissible means and at any cost - added Dautović.

Ghosts of the Past Are Awake Again

- Let's bring back the spirit of victory, let's stop the propaganda that says we cannot win. Vlašić is one proof that we can win. The battle for one's own dignity is the most significant battle fought by every person, every nation, and every country.

Those who defended the homeland are not the same as those who ordered and committed joint criminal enterprises, genocide, crimes against humanity, and other crimes. We were not the same in the 90s, we are not the same today, and we should not be afraid to say that we are not the same if we continue to prove with our actions that we are not the same - emphasized Bećirović.

He warns that the ghosts of the past have been reawakened, which we have been witnessing for several months through an attack on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has not yet been stopped.

- The Constitutional Court of BiH and the Office of the High Representative, among others, have been attacked. This is the most severe blow to the foundations of the Dayton Peace Agreement from 1995 to the present day.

This is a threat that no one has the right to sweep under the rug. The protection of the constitutional order of BiH is a fundamental prerequisite for moving towards the EU and NATO. Whoever does not understand this either has evil intentions or is dangerously naive - added Bećirović.

The Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Željko Komšić, recalled the brave fight of the members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that during the period from 1992 to 1995, the lines were clear, that it was known who was in front and who was behind.

- The enemy is in front, friends are behind. You cover their backs, they cover yours, and we all move forward. Today, the lines are not so clear.

If they ask me to talk to those who have crossed the lines and to move from the place where I stood then from 1992 to 1995, I cannot.

How long should we bow our heads, remain silent in the name of false political correctness, how long should we not say what we were willing to do for this country?

Why are we not allowed to say that we are ready to do everything the same for this country for the simple reason, because of so many dead heads, a devastated country, and because we cannot go against ourselves.

I will not talk to anyone who has crossed the red line. So be it, whatever the cost, let it cost, it has cost - stated Komšić.

Our history was difficult, bloody, arduous, terrible. Let's not leave this farce to these children, let's not leave unresolved issues to these children, let's not leave an unclear situation to these children in the name of fear and the fight for their own position.

Is it time to tell all those who plot against this country, and who call themselves our friends: Enough is enough! We will not rely on you, we will rely on ourselves - Komšić concluded.

Muhasilović says that the Vlašić momentum should also be used for the political consolidation of everything that is not the 'Trojka' (a political coalition), and to finally break with the victim narrative.
