Muhasilović: Serbia proves it is the main generator of instability in the Balkans

(Patria) - When drafting the declaration of the all-Serbian assembly, held today in Belgrade, positions from the smaller BiH entity of RS were also accepted because Serbia is not well-informed about everything that is happening in that area. This was stated today by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

He emphasized that this assembly, whose goal is to improve the economic situation which is a Serbian national interest, is important for Serbs. Jahja Muhasilović, a professor and geopolitical analyst, discussed this topic on Hayat TV in the show '7plus'.

-Serbia is not threatened by anyone. That narrative existing in the Balkans animates fear among the Serbian people. This is reminiscent of the narrative from the 1980s when certain myths about Albanian separatism and the creation of an Islamic state were propagated. This is about a Greater Serbian assembly that relativizes this idea. At the same time, they mention peace and separation. I think in this case, it is about the unification of Serbia and RS. What Serbian politicians also use is the creation of non-existent enemies. In this, besides politicians, the Serbian Orthodox Church also participates, thereby Serbia proving that it is the main generator of instability in the Balkans – says Muhasilović.

Milorad Dodik announced that the Day of the smaller BiH entity of RS will no longer be celebrated on January 9th, but on February 15th, when the Day of Statehood of Serbia is celebrated. Muhasilović points out that it is inconceivable to connect the entity of RS in this way with those who attacked BiH in the 90s.

-Such a message is sent that Dodik violates what he refers to, Dayton. You cannot connect his day with those who are neighbors but also participated in the events of the 90s. This should also be examined by the Constitutional Court, but we see that it is also politically surviving. Institutions are infiltrated by destructive, separatist structures. He is diverting our attention from infiltrating his loyal people in Belgrade into BiH institutions. In this way, he will occupy BiH institutions. This is a policy of unification, not separation. The only way to respond to this is with proactive policy – states Muhasilović.
