Muhasilović: Schmidt openly lies to Bosniaks!

(Patria) - Professor of International Relations Jahja Muhasilović spoke about current political topics on the show ‘Dobar dan BiH’ on Hayat TV.

Muhasilović began by stating that he is not at all surprised by the held session of the governments of the RS and Serbia, because it is not the first time something like this has happened.

"This shows us Serbia's attitude towards BiH, they value the entity more than they value state institutions. But not only Serbia, but also Croatia. This is just one of the indicators that we do not have good relations with two neighboring countries and we have a big problem. They are the biggest problem for BiH. Everything is generated from Belgrade and Zagreb. Vučić kept repeating that they are for the territorial integrity of BiH, but he was never the problem. They do not respect sovereignty. Currently, they have no problem with its territorial arrangement," said Muhasilović.

He believes that sub-political actors such as Dodik, the president of the entity, are more respected, and as for Croatia, even less so, they respect the president of a party more.

"I am not surprised, this will continue further. The policy of the international community is that they too do not respect the sovereignty of BiH's state institutions, which was a signal to Belgrade and Zagreb that they can behave in that way," said Muhasilović.

Yesterday there was a meeting between Christian Schmidt and member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirević, Muhasilović recalls that the High Representative increasingly uses the term integrity.

"You see that they are synchronized, it is the same policy and practice has shown that. They strengthen nationalism and SNSD strengthens Dodik. The outcome of that policy is consociation. It will happen that state institutions will not have authority over a large part of their territory, and that state property will be transferred to the entities," said Muhasilović.

Muhasilović notes that when you lose the Constitutional Court, the prosecution cannot react, nor can the police forces.

"If that were to happen, it would mean that there is no more salvation for BiH as a civic state. That state will remain on paper and we will have an illusion that we have independence and sovereignty. The state will not be an umbrella, but will have 3 tribes that will form a tribal community," said Muhasilović.

He commented on the US sanctions, and said that Bosniaks should not be naive.

"I hope we have seen the light. I think there has been an awakening, but far from enough. If we want to keep our rights, we definitely must be more active. Sanctions have become a subject of ridicule, because they know nothing will come of them. The international community will not defend Bosniaks in this territory, if there is anyone who will defend them, it will be Bosnian Serbs and Bosnian Croats, and they will defend them from Bosniaks," said Muhasilović.

He said that Schmidt openly lies to Bosniaks.

"He came to help the HDZ. Of course, they will continue with this kind of Troika that we have. If it really comes to the point that Čović announces in October, if something similar is attempted, that is the last step before the death of BiH. We will have a state ruled by Belgrade and Zagreb," emphasized Muhasilović.
