Muhasilović at Circle 99: Time for an All-Bosnian Assembly to Define a Clear National Strategy for BiH

(Patria) - The regular session of Circle 99 on the topic "Response to the 'All-Serbian Assembly'?" was held today, with Prof. Dr. Jahja Muhasilović from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) as the keynote speaker.

Muhasilović believes that Serbian politics has decided to remain a black hole in the Balkans and the main generator of evil and nationalism in the region.

“Article 8 of the Declaration that was published states that it is necessary to stop the policies of assimilation of Serbs in these areas. When Belgrade is not doing well demographically, economically, or politically, they resort to such assemblies, and it is no coincidence that the issue of the economy was emphasized. Serbian politics is destructive, especially towards BiH", says Muhasilović.

He points out that this assembly is an issue that the Peace Implementation Council and its executive body, the OHR, which is responsible for implementing the civilian aspect of the Dayton Peace Agreement, should address.

"With this act, and the fact that RS is linking its entity day to Serbia's statehood day, Serbia has provided enough material for the international community to address this issue. It is high time that Dodik be stopped, that he be arrested. This should not be postponed, there is no need to wait for a more favorable political moment. It has long since arrived. Dodik crossed red lines long ago and should have been prosecuted", says Prof. Muhasilović.

The body that should react and address this issue is the Constitutional Court of BiH.

„The Constitutional Court of BiH now has the opportunity to prove to all those who say that he will be extradited to Serbia and Croatia that this is not the case and that Dodik should be stopped in his separatist intentions. Otherwise, I fear that we will wake up in a reality where BiH will exist only on paper, and the main political, legal, economic, cultural, and media factors will be exclusively controlled from Zagreb and Belgrade.

I hope there are enough patriotic forces in BiH to prevent such a thing from happening. I would encourage our intellectual, academic, and media elite to come to their senses and start working to stop the retrograde policies that are being played out through BiH.

It is high time that we respond with an all-Bosnian assembly and come up with concrete steps and a clear national strategy and policy. We have the right to a national policy because we are an internationally recognized state. All nation-states have a national program. BiH does not have a national program, and that is why the space is open for all retrograde policies to weaken BiH day by day", concluded Muhasilović.

The President of Circle 99, Adil Kulenović, emphasized that together with four political parties and non-governmental organizations, they are ready to organize a rally for a sovereign BiH where the will to preserve and defend BiH would be expressed.
