Muhasilović: If Palestinians are left alone, we will witness a new massacre!

(Patria) - Jahja Muhasilović, a foreign policy analyst, believes that Israel's attack on Palestine could escalate into a regional conflict because many players are involved.

As he said on Hayat's show ‘Sedam plus’, it is inevitable that Israel is prepared to commit some form of genocide against Palestinians because they are willing to kill civilians.

Israel is angrier than ever, which is somewhat justified because never before have so many Israelis died, more than 1,000 in three days. They were caught off guard, and Hamas has shown that they can fight against them. Time is on Israel's side; they have managed to bring part of the country under control, but now a brutal offensive towards Gaza follows – Muhasilović stated.

As he says, there will be tens of thousands of victims.

The destruction of Gaza is happening now. Iran is directly and indirectly behind the attacks. For the first time, the US has stated that they do not stand behind Iran's involvement in the attacks, which shows they have no appetite for a frontal war against Iran – he states.

He explains that a domino effect could occur, which could spill over, plunging the whole world into chaos.

Turkey and Egypt have so far offered themselves as mediators and are trying to calm Israel down, Muhasilović adds.

He noted an important fact:

The Palestinian people have been surviving for 70 years what Israel has experienced in these past few days. The fact that they have been living like this for decades is being omitted – he explains.
He believes that this crisis has shown that Turkey and Egypt are now more respected in geopolitics, not the US.

Israel will aim to take a part of Gaza, divide it, and dismember it. Egypt will be one of the key countries, and they will try to expel a larger part of the Palestinians with them, which will facilitate annexation – Muhasilović said.

He says that Hamas has proven that the Israeli army is not invincible, as was the myth until now, and that the public is concerned about how logistically equipped they are.

If the Palestinians are left to themselves, we will witness a new massacre, the most brutal yet – Muhasilović underlined, adding that the Arab world has the strength to confront Israel, but their problems are division and corruption.
