Mostar: Fines up to 10,000 BAM for failure to remove snow and ice

(Patria) - The Inspection Service of the City of Mostar has warned legal and natural persons of their obligation to remove snow and ice from public and private surfaces, in accordance with the Decision on Communal Order of the City of Mostar.

The warning applies to the Public Enterprise (JP) "Komunalno" d.o.o. Mostar as the provider of communal services, owners and users of business premises, citizens - owners and users of residential buildings, as well as legal and natural persons entrusted with the maintenance of parking lots, sports facilities, bus stops, markets and similar surfaces.

As stated, all are obliged to regularly remove snow and ice in front of the buildings they own or use, i.e., from surfaces entrusted to them for maintenance.

JP "Komunalno" d.o.o. Mostar is obliged to organize its own capacities, machinery and personnel for the timely and effective removal of snow and ice from public roads, paths, stairs and roads on public surfaces.

For non-compliance with these obligations, fines are foreseen in the amount of 2,500 to 10,000 BAM for the provider of communal services, from 1,000 to 5,000 BAM for companies, institutions and other legal entities, and from 100 to 500 BAM for natural persons.

From the Inspection Service of the City of Mostar, they state that the communal inspection will continuously conduct field supervision.
