Mostar ready for 459th jumps: Competitors from BiH and abroad

(Patria) - The traditional 459th jumps from the Old Bridge will be held today starting at 4 PM.

As announced by the organizers, more than 40 jumpers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region are expected to perform, and this year, unlike previous years, jumpers from Croatia and Kosovo will also take part.

Alongside the main event, a backgammon tournament will be organized as part of the manifestation this year as well, while the end of the entire program is scheduled for a torchlight procession on the bridge on Sunday at 10 PM.

The most successful jumpers, in addition to cash prizes and trophies, will this year also receive gifts from the Center for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation Mostar.

The jumpers will be evaluated by a professional jury consisting of Alica Jakirović, Branko Bogičević, Semir Drocić, Samir Zukanović – Lile, and for the first time Alija Ajanić. In the revue part of the program, veteran jumpers and guests from neighboring countries will perform.

- This year as well, the jury consists of former jumpers, former champions of the jumps, three of whom have already successfully evaluated competitors. The manifestation again has an international character; friends from Montenegro, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, and Kosovo will come, so we expect strong competition - said the president of the Jumpers Club "Mostari", Lorens Listo, thanking everyone who supported the organization of the jumps.
