Mostar: Kordić and Marić announced that the City Administration will make up for delays

The Mayor of Mostar Mario Kordić, the President of the Mostar City Council Salem Marić, and the Deputy Presidents of the City Council Velibor Milivojević and Ivan Zelenika held the first joint meeting on Friday at the City Hall with all heads of city departments and heads of services.

In his introductory address, Mayor Kordić stated that he expects transparency in work from the heads of departments and services and the initiation of processes and projects that were stalled due to the fact that there was no City Council, according to a statement from the Information Office of the City of Mostar, reported by Dnevni list.

Therefore, the first step will be to visit each department and service and to become acquainted with the existing situation and activities in each of them through direct communication, but he also stated that he will be available to them in order to initiate all processes and projects.

He announced that in the coming period, in order to create a functional City Administration, a process of its reorganization, computerization, and digitalization will be carried out, all to make the City Administration efficient and transparent, and all documents available to the public and citizens.

The President of the Mostar City Council, Salem Marić, stated that the goal of the new City Council is to build a normal and complete city for the benefit of all its citizens, and also emphasized that work needs to be done on creating a new systematization and reorganization of the Mostar City Administration.

He promised that the City Council will adopt a work program and hold two sessions every month because they want to make up for the delays that are the result of the fact that Mostar has not had legislative authority for eight years, which has led to numerous difficulties in the functioning of the city and in almost all segments.

Both Deputy Presidents of the Council, Milivojević and Zelenika, also emphasized that the new City Council, despite the fact that different political parties are represented, will work with the mayor and the City Administration for the prosperity of the City and for the benefit of all citizens, the statement said.
