Bridge in Kladanj to be built thanks to donation from Centar Municipality

 

Centar Sarajevo Municipality, led by Mayor Dževad Bećirević, after last year's May floods, was the first local community to react and rush to help residents of the affected areas. Namely, 500,000 marks were allocated from the budget of Centar Municipality and distributed to local communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Patria news agency.

This year as well, Mayor Bećirević made a decision to allocate funds for certain local communities that suffered the greatest damage. One of them is the municipality of Kladanj, and from the budget of Centar Municipality for 2015, 20 thousand marks were allocated to help this local community.

A delegation of Centar Municipality, consisting of the Mayor's advisor Mustafa Resić and the Assistant Mayor for Civil Protection of Centar Municipality Vahid Bećirević, visited the Municipality of Kladanj and presented the donation protocol to the mayor of this local community, Jusuf Čavkunović.

According to advisor Resić, the donated funds to the Municipality of Kladanj were given for the remediation of consequences caused by the May floods. With these funds, the Municipality of Kladanj will build a slab bridge in the settlement of Brlošci.

Čavkunović thanked Mayor Bećirević and Centar Municipality for this, as well as last year's donation.

- This is not the first time that Centar Municipality has helped us. Last year as well, they donated funds in the amount of ten thousand KM to the Municipality of Kladanj for the remediation of flood damage. With the funds from this donation, we will solve a major problem for the residents of the village of Brlošci, which has over 200 households. The bridge that residents of this village must cross when coming home is very damaged and in poor condition. During this week, we plan to initiate the procedure for the project implementation, and we expect the completion of the bridge construction by the end of October, emphasized Čavkunović, it was announced from Centar Municipality.
