We must silence the genocide deniers from RS who have helpers in Sarajevo

The pronouncement of final verdicts for the genocide in Srebrenica is a moment when I face reality. Watching the broadcast from The Hague today, I was transported back to '95, and it crossed my mind that I survived all of this, has it really been 20 years since then, says Emir Suljagić for the Patria News Agency.

Today's pronouncement of final verdicts for five RS Army officers for the genocide in Srebrenica is a big deal, according to Suljagić's opinion.

- This is a historic day in terms of criminal prosecution regarding the truth about the Srebrenica genocide. But we have two things here that we must never forget. There are still those who say from Banja Luka that genocide was not committed, and unfortunately, they have helpers in this endeavor even in Sarajevo. And secondly, this society must finally confront the thousands of those who were subordinate to "beare" and "popovići".

They were the direct perpetrators in the field, and today they work in state administration bodies. If we do not resolve these two key issues, we will face genocide again, like in 1995 in Srebrenica, Suljagić states.
