Monika Mijić new member of HJPC representing the Council of Ministers

The BiH Council of Ministers yesterday dismissed Monika Mijić, at her personal request, from the position of representative of the BiH Council of Ministers before the European Court of Human Rights.

At the same time, Monika Mijić was appointed to the position of member of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council representing the BiH Council of Ministers.

This lawyer was born on 28.11.1973 in Sarajevo, where she completed her primary and secondary education. After finishing high school (First Gymnasium), she enrolled in the Faculty of Law in Split, and passed the bar exam in Zagreb in 2002.

Mijić began her career at the Municipal Court in Split, where she worked as an intern from June 2000 to the end of 2002. She came to the position of Deputy BiH Ombudsman in 2003, where she remained until January 2006. In the same month, she moved to the position of BiH Ombudsman, where she stayed until July 2006. She held the position of agent of the Council of Ministers before the European Court of Human Rights from June 2006.

The BiH Council of Ministers approved BAM 42,000.00 from the current budget reserve to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the costs of the Central European Initiative Summit held in Sarajevo.

The BiH Council of Ministers exempted members of the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who will be visiting BiH, from paying visa fees.
