Wet and damp roads, snow in places

(Patria) - Traffic on the roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina is proceeding without major difficulties, with mostly wet or damp roads. Light snow has been recorded on some sections in the central, northern, and western parts of the country, while in the southern parts of our country, the road surface is mostly dry or damp. Road crews are on the ground and are spreading material, and there are landslides on some sections, so drivers are advised to be extra cautious.

Movement of all vehicles across the bridge on the main road Dobro Polje-Miljevina is prohibited. Vehicles with a total mass of up to 3.5 tons can use the road over Grebak or Kalinovik (there is 19 km of gravel road), while trucks must use the road via Rogatica and Ustiprača.

Due to frequent landslides, we highlight the following sections: Bihać-Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa, Jajce-Banja Luka, Turbe-Karanovac, Bugojno-Kupres, Jablanica-Prozor, Konjic-Jablanica-Mostar-Doljani, and Rogatica-Višegrad.

We appeal to drivers to be maximally cautious on all routes, to adjust their driving to the current road conditions, and to обязательно possess winter equipment.

The construction of a noise barrier is underway on the A-1 highway section Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi, due to which traffic is diverted to the overtaking lane.

On the main road Jablanica-Blidinje, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.

At border crossings, waiting times are up to 30 minutes.

Due to the registration of passengers according to the new system for exiting and entering European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer waiting times at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
