Wet road surface, reduced visibility in some areas

(Patria) - On most sections the road surface is damp or wet, and due to cloudy weather, local rain and thick fog visibility is reduced, especially in the areas of Tuzla, Sarajevo, Travnik, Bugojno, Odžak and Orašje.

Teams are on the ground, gritting is being carried out on some sections, and particular attention should be paid to possible landslides on the sections: Velika Kladuša-Bužim, Jajce-Banja Luka, Turbe-Karanovac, Mostar-Polog and Žitomislići-Doljani. On mountain passes conditions are changeable, but the roads are passable.

Due to works on replacing lighting fixtures, the tube in the Igman tunnel on the A-1 motorway section Sarajevo west – Lepenica is closed for traffic. Traffic runs in both directions on the opposite side of the motorway, with traffic signs in place, until the works are completed.

On the A-1 motorway section Podlugovi-Sarajevo north, due to the construction of a noise barrier at the worksite, traffic runs in the overtaking lane.

On the main road section Jablanica–Blidinje, passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes travel with difficulty. For vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, traffic remains suspended.

Works are ongoing on the main roads: Semizovac-Olovo, Jajce-Crna Rijeka, Bileća-Trebinje (at the Žudojevići site), Gacko-Foča (in Sastavci), as well as at the entrance to Neum.

At border crossings, waiting times for passenger vehicles are no longer than 30 minutes.

Due to the registration of passengers under the new system for exiting and entering European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer waiting times are possible at border crossings.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. As of 2 December 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. At the Šepak border crossing, traffic is prohibited for all freight vehicles.

We remind drivers that possession of winter equipment is mandatory on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
