Wet and slippery road, drive carefully

(Patria) - Wet and slippery roads characterize the traffic situation on most roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina. If you are planning a trip, we advise you to check the condition of your wipers, lights, and tires to ensure driving safety, according to BIHAMK.

Traffic is moving slowly on the main road in the settlement of Rajlovac (Sarajevo) due to ongoing works, using only one lane. Long queues of vehicles form during the day, so we recommend using alternative routes.

Due to landslide remediation on the A-1 Tarčin-Lepenica highway section, the Vis, 25. novembar, and Grab tunnels are closed to traffic, and traffic is moving in both directions on the opposite side of the highway.

Traffic is suspended on the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, as well as on the regional roads Vrbaška-Mrakovica (in the Vučijak quarry area) and Ugljevik-Glavičice, in the village of Ugljevik.

Due to active landslides, we highlight the main roads Dobro Polje-Foča (at the locations Sijeračke stijene and Tuhalji) and Gacko-Tjentište (between the Čemerno and Surdup tunnels).

Due to the repair of the expansion joint at the Kakanj interchange (Lašva-Kakanj direction), the driving lane is closed to traffic, with temporary traffic signals installed.

Works are ongoing on the A-1 Visoko-Podlugovi highway section, as well as on the main roads: Žepče-Maglaj, Sarajevo-Pale, Polje-Kaćuni, Gnojnice-Nevesinje (Dračevice).

At the border crossings: Gradiška, Kozarska Dubica, and Orašje, there is increased traffic of vehicles exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. At other border crossings, waiting times do not exceed 30 minutes. Due to bridge damage, the Brčko border crossing can only be used by pedestrians.

Today, 04/27/2025, from 06:00 to 18:00, the main road Draksenić-Gradina/Jasenovac border crossing will be closed to traffic.

Also, traffic for trucks over 3.5 tons of total weight is prohibited today from 00:00 to 18:00 on the following main road sections: Kostajnica-Kozarska Dubica-Gradiška and Kozarska Dubica-Prijedor.

Traffic for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible weight is prohibited at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Trucks can use the Šepak border crossing from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends, they can cross between 22:00 and 06:00).
